NEAIR was appointed to deliver a commercial air conditioning project at a large office facility in Pontypridd, tasked with providing reliable, dedicated cooling and heating for a critical server room. The installation presented a key technical challenge: pipe runs exceeding 50 metres for each system, which required a solution capable of maintaining performance over such extended distances. As part of a wider office refurbishment taking place at the same time, NEAIR also needed to relocate existing VRF indoor units and associated systems into newly created office spaces.
To meet the demands of the long pipe runs, NEAIR selected 3 × 10kW Panasonic R32 air conditioning systems, chosen specifically for their suitability to this type of installation and their ability to provide a reliable solution for the sensitive server room environment. The project required careful planning to accommodate these extended pipe runs while working alongside other contractors delivering the ongoing office refurbishment, ensuring minimal disruption and a coordinated approach throughout.
Once installation was complete, all new and relocated systems were fully commissioned and tested in both heating and cooling modes, with controls demonstrated to the customer to ensure correct, efficient operation. The completed project now provides 30kW of dedicated air conditioning capacity for the server room, alongside relocated VRF systems serving the refurbished office areas, delivering a reliable, modern air conditioning solution designed around the building's specific requirements, including the challenging long pipe runs and evolving office layout.
When a customer originally booked their air conditioning installation with a large online company, they expected the process to be straightforward. Unfortunately, they were let down and supplied with equipment that was the wrong size for their property. Looking for professional advice, the customer turned to NEAIR for an expert second opinion, hoping to find a solution that actually suited their home.
After carefully assessing the customer's requirements and the property itself, NEAIR recommended and installed a 10kW Mitsubishi Heavy Industries multi-split air conditioning system, comprising 2 × 5kW wall-mounted indoor units and 1 × 10kW multi-split outdoor unit. The 5kW units were specifically selected to suit the room sizes and the property's characteristics, including its high ceilings and south-facing walls, ensuring consistent, efficient heating and cooling throughout the year, with individual temperature control for each area. Remarkably, this correctly specified solution also saved the customer over £1,000 compared with their original installation.
Once installation was complete, the system was fully commissioned, tested and checked to ensure everything was operating correctly, with the controls demonstrated to the customer to explain effective use in both heating and cooling modes. The customer now has a correctly sized, efficient Mitsubishi Heavy Industries system providing year-round comfort, along with genuine peace of mind, knowing it was professionally specified and installed by NEAIR. This project is a great example of why independent, expert advice before committing to an installation can make all the difference.
